The Linguaphone Group, global leaders in language training, will shortly see their Pingu’s English program delivered in new territories, with the signing of a new Master Licensee for their Pingus English children’s English language program in Cyprus.
D.P. Taking Care of Education Ltd is a subsidiary of Zenon Private Institute Ltd who have been in operation since 1977. Providing private tuition to students of all ages in a wide range of subjects, they will launch Pingus English within Cyprus in November. Initially focusing on promoting the course to kindergartens, they then plan to open their first Ping’s English School next year.
Pingu’s English is a three-level language course based on the popular HIT Entertainment children’s character, Pingu. Transforming the way that young children learn English, the unique methodology uses a wide variety of imaginative activities and multimedia resources. Designed for use within Pingu’s English Schools, kindergartens and also by parents and children at home, this innovative course is exclusive to the Linguaphone Group.
Commenting on the news, Derek Price, Chief Operations Officer of the Linguaphone Group said:
“The combination of the hugely popular Pingu character, with the academic integrity and global experience of the Linguaphone Group, has created a powerful ELT corpus with unique and significant mass-market appeal for pre-school children. It’s therefore no surprise to us that over 25 countries have already adopted Pingu’s English in little over eighteen months and we are delighted to add Cyprus to that list”
Led by Demetris Panayi, Taking Care of Education Ltd have also secured the rights to run Linguaphone’s range of self-study and assisted English language programs for adults across Cyprus.
